Madrid, 27 October 2015. Carbures has reinforced its corporate governance structure to balance it with its growth as a company and, thus, meet the structural corporate excellence requirements imposed by the market and the stock exchange in this area. To do so, the Carbures Board of Directors has created the Legal Affairs Department and the Compliance, Markets and Communication Department and has put Tomás Rodriguez Peñamaría and Juan Ignacio Peinado, respectively, at the head of each.
Rodriguez Peñamaría is a member of one of the leading law firms in Spain and is an expert in the field of corporate administration in which he has carried out his career in recent years. The new Director of Legal Affairs at Carbures has extensive experience on issues such as corporate transformation, the execution and regulations relating to capital increases, corporate restructuring procedures and financial restructuring processes within companies.
On the other hand, Rodríguez Peñamaría has extensive experience in legal advising for businesses for both technological start-ups as well as publicly listed companies. Moreover, the new Carbures Director stands out because he has been responsible in his career for managing relations with investors and shareholders.
With respect to the new Director of Compliance, Markets and Communication, Juan Ignacio Peinado will be responsible for ensuring the internal management activities and appointments at the company are done in accordance with Spanish stock market regulations as outlined by the Spanish Securities Market Commission and best corporate governance practices worldwide.
A tenured professor of commercial law and an attorney, Peinado directed the Commercial Law Department of an important Spanish law firm for eight years. During that time, he worked for leading listed companies in energy, banking, telecommunications and other sectors. He has been a board member or board secretary of seveal companies. Peinado specialises in corporate law, contracts and aviation law.
“At Carbures we continue working to keep growing in a balanced way. We're moving step by step but without stopping any time along the way. We are firmly convinced of the need to equip the company with professionals who offer added value and help us accompany our industrial growth with our corporate growth in a balanced and solid manner," explained the Chairman of Carbures, Rafael Contreras, when asked about the new hiring done at the company.
"If we're going to exceed the industrial growth expectations due to increased orders in aviation and the expected final burst in the automotive sector, we have to strengthen the company's management structure in order to consolidate our growth as a company," added Contreras.
The appointments have been made effective and both Rodríguez Peñamaría as well as Peinado García are already working for the company.
