ESFERA Project

CARBURES participates in the project ESFERA whose main objective is the "Conception and development of a new Hybrid Functional and LIGERA superstructure for future vehicles", coordinated by the company PLASTIC OMNIUM and in which PSA GROUP, TROMOSA and LEDISSON also participate, with the CTAG collaboration - Galician Automotive Technology Center. The project lasts 3 years (2015-2018) and takes place in the Autonomous Communities of Galicia and Andalusia.

The project, with a total budget of € 1,737,271, is subsidized by the CDTI - Center for Industrial Technological Development - through the FEDER-INTERCONECTA 2015 program, with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the Smart Growth Operational Program 2014-2020, with the aim of promoting research, technological development and innovation.

MOSAR Project

The MOSAR project has been co-financed by the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda, within the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2013-2016 with file number TSI-100101-2013-62

The objective of this project is to develop a prototype of a radio frequency (RF) Transmitter / Receiver (T / R) module, in X-band, for use in a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system shipped in satellite for space applications of Earth Observation.

The most notable technological innovation of the prototype to be developed is the use of Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology in the amplifier modules that will be used in the transmitter. Given the extraordinary characteristics of the GaN technology, it is intended to develop a compact solution, with a small size and optimal consumption, that will allow improving the performance and quality of SAR systems. Reducing the size, weight and power consumption of radio frequency (RF) fronts is especially relevant in systems shipped in satellite.
